Helical Spring

Helical spring, some people refer as spiral springs, is the composition of wounded flat ribbon metal with round cross section, typically in stainless steel and other alloy material.

The load evenly spreads across each individual band therefore it has a relatively high spring load with smaller deflection range.
The length, sizes, material can be customized based on application.
Avaliable material: 301 Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C276, Elgiloy or equivalent, 316 Stainless Steel, Beryllium Copper (BeCu)

Application Range

Spring energized Seals (spring energizer) : commonly used for medium to high pressure applications under very slow or static condition.
Recommended for vacuum and cryogenic sealing application.
Not suitable for wide gland tolerances, eccentricity, or misalignment.
